Anders Kofoed

Patuyo Islands wildlife and nature ambassador

We are thrilled to announce that Anders Kofoed has joined us and will be Wildlife and Nature Ambassador of Patuyo Island Experience.

Education & expertise:

Anders holds an MSc in Biology with a specialization in Evolutionary Ecology from the University of Copenhagen. With over two decades of experience in wildlife education and conservation, he has become one of Denmark’s most respected voices in biodiversity.

As the official expert on biodiversity and zoology for TV2, and a host of numerous nature programs, Anders has inspired countless people to connect with the natural world.

Anders brings with him a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for conservation, making him the perfect advocate for our mission to explore and protect the unique biodiversity of Patuyo Island.

Career highlights:

Educator at Copenhagen Zoo (2001-2007)

Anders began his career by educating the public on the wonders of wildlife, laying the foundation for his lifelong commitment to nature.

Education Manager at The Blue Planet and Danish Aquarium (2008-2013)

He played a pivotal role in shaping educational programs at Northern Europe’s largest aquarium.

Conservation leadership:

From leading the Sea Turtle Protection Society in Greece to founding the Busua Beach Sea Turtle Protection Society, Anders has dedicated much of his life to protecting marine life. He is also a founding board member of the NGO Plastic Change and a current member of the WWF Presidium in Denmark.

Beyond his work in conservation, Anders is a best-selling author and a prize-winning podcast host, using his platform to share the beauty and importance of nature with a wide audience.

After learning about the rich biodiversity of Palawan and the unique species found on Patuyo Island, Anders was eager to lend his expertise and passion to our efforts. He believes that this bio-blitz is not just an opportunity to explore, but a vital mission to document and protect species that may be found nowhere else on the planet.

We are honored to have Anders on board as we embark on this journey to explore and protect the extraordinary biodiversity of Patuyo Island.
